Welcome to the Altnabreac Wind Farm project website.

Wind2 is developing for EDPR, a wind farm proposal on land located in Caithness, southeast of Altnabreac railway station, approximately 7km to the south-west of the village of Halkirk with Thurso approximately 24km to the north. The development site is wholly within the Highland Council area boundary.

It is anticipated that the Altnabreac Wind Farm will comprise of up to 17 wind turbines with a tip height of up to 200 meters, battery storage facility and associated infrastructure with an export capacity of approximately 130 megawatts (MW).
